Travel: Wisteria Lanes in Japan
When I think of Wisteria I think of the weed-like growth that infests my father’s balcony making the space almost uninhabitable if not attacked with some hefty pruning scissors every so often. Trust the Japanese to make them grow in a symmetrical and orderly fashion. The gardens pictured below look almost surreal. At first I thought it was a painting!

Travel: Japan
I came across the video posted below and was incredibly impressed. Its from “Japan’s Got Talent” and it really shows why the Japanese are a different breed. Britain’s Got Talent is not even a distant cousin to the Japanese version. Not that the Greek Irish Dancers weren’t incredibly amusing but its clearly not in the same league.
I went to Japan for the first time a year and half ago and when I got there I thought that maybe I had arrived on Mars. The best part of the trip was the TOTO Toilet. For those of you who do not know what this is, its the Rolls Royce of toilets. It comes with its own control panel, heated seat, three different spray options, a noise button so as to reduce embarrassment when you have an upset stomach AND at the end it blows hot air to dry you off as well. Needless to say it flushes on its own and closes itself when you stand up. Have you ever heard of anything as cool as that? I think not.
Below are some pictures from my trip. Enjoy.
