Fashion: First Rite Fall 2012 Collection
I love the look of this collection by First Rite. Its very Argentina Gaucho meets House of Spirits. This is how I imagine Clara and Alba dressed when riding around the Tres Marias.
Callixto Style: Warrior Princess
This stone encrusted waistcoat is probably the favorite piece of clothing I possess. It makes me feel like a warrior princess. In fact, if I were an actress, I would only accept roles for characters of the warrior princess kind. Who wants to be a down and out bum in middle america when you could go and kick some ass on some other planet wearing cool clothes.. not me..
I got this waistcoat in Thailand a couple of years ago in a random boutique whose name I dont even remember. Last year I went back hoping that there would be something similar.. but there was nothing of the stone encrusted variety. Bummer.. Designers of the world take note.. please make some more of these.

For most people the most memorable thing about Angkor is not the impressive grandeur of Angkor Wat, but Ta Prohm, the Jungle Temple. The display of nature overpowering a man made structure so completely is something that is hard to forget.
Henrique Oliveira‘s work, especially his installation pictured below called Casa dos Leões is similar. One has the feeling that the house is being swallowed up by the a wooden tree. The amorphous shape of the wooden structure is the exact oposite of the clean lines of the house and you realize how at odds man and nature really are. There we are trying to tame our environment, using concrete to pave our way through this planet.. but in the end, when we are no longer there to cut the weeds, nature will have the last laugh.. Like it did in Ta Prohm.

Decor: Colourful Details
I would love to meet the owner of this flat. I am pretty certain we could become great friends as we seem to have very similar taste. LOVE this flat. I also think I will start buying books based on the colour of their covers.

Travel: Wanderlust
wanderlust [ˈwɒndəˌlʌst] n : a great desire to travel and rove about.
German might not be the most beautiful language to listen to, but my oh my do they have some great words. Wanderlust is one of them. The weather is rubbish today in Hong Kong and wanderlust has kicked in. Where would I go? Below are pictures of some great looking destinations.
