Fashion: Shorts
Those of you who know me, will attest to the fact that I am a big lover of the “Shorts.” Whether summer or winter, leather or cotton, casual or dressy, with tights or without, the Shorts are my wardrobe staple. They are more edgy than the Skirt, more comfortable than the Jean, and cooler than the Dress. Here are a couple of pictures of people wearing shorts in a myriad of ways that demonstrate just how versatile this piece of clothing really is.
Travel: Iceland
I have never rated Iceland in any way whatsoever. It’s not so much that I didn’t know it was there but with a name like Iceland it never sounded like an appealing place to go visit. After seeing the video below I have changed my mind. We need to go to Iceland. The movie below was shot during the Icelandic Midnight Sun over 24 hours. Forget St Petersburg and the White Nights. It’s Iceland where we need to go.

Decor: Black walls
I came across these pictures of Jenna Lyons’ apartment today which I loved. I have never thought of black being an option for walls but I have to say it looks amazingly cool. I think you would need to have the high ceilings and a bit of courage to go for a black room but I think its going to go into the “Inspirations for my next home” folder.
Jewellery: Silver
I am not a fan of silver jewellery. It reminds me of being a gauche teenager and shopping in those hippy Indian stores that populate Europe (at least they did so in the 90s). Remember those stores? They sold clothes made of hemp, bongs and tie dye sarongs? I used to spend hours in the one in my home town and now, when I think of silver jewellery ,I have a flashback and see hemp shirts and birkenstocks. Well, after seeing the pictures below I think I might be slowly changing my mind. I think the way to go about it is to spank on some colourful nail polish, think 0f it as armour and cake on the rings. The more the better. When I go back home I might have to go through my jewellery box and see what I left behind there all those years ago!
